SADECO procures foundation seed from plant breeders
Farmer groups and individual farmers are registered within the communities as seed out growers, Farmers receive foundation seeds from SADECO inform of seed loans, Farmers sign seed purchase contracts with SADECO to guarantee purchase of what the farmer will produce, SADECO technical field staff train seed out growers and supervise the seed production process....then.
MAAIF is invited to undertake both field and store inspection to control quality and later issue a certificate to SADECO, When the seed is ready from seed out growers, the loan is recovered and all balance from the farmer is purchased on cash basis and finally the seed is brought to SADECO store where its cleaned, treated and packed making it ready for sale to agro-input dealers and farmers.
